Welcome Wednesday

Timothy from last week. He has broke my heart.

Short term missionary. Yes you you are a part of Uganda you are a part of my life here. You bring a joy filled heart with you. You come to give and you leave realizing that there is not enough of you to give. You thought you would be giving blessings and now are going home more blessed than ever.

What is this that you are filling in your heart? What is this pain? Why can you not stop thinking about that kid with the big brown eyes that gave you the sweetest letter? Yes I have felt it too. God has broke your heart with the things that break his.

You love on so many babies in orphanages. You have built buildings and put on medical clinics to take care of the sick.

I see people growing closer and closer to God. People laying hands on the sick and praying for them. Stepping out on faith and trusting God whole heartily.

Welcome GO Team, you have impacted me and so many people here in Uganda. I pray that you keep your eyes on Jesus and not forget how God has changed you in such a short time.

Building-Blessing-Beautiful

      Building are raised every day.
Every where you look is some building being built.
So what
what's the big deal
nothing in most cases.
Well whe it is the hope and futures of kids.....orphans, then a building is so much more.

Blessing

Blessing those who are in need.
Taking care of those who need to be loved.
Taking time to get down on your knees and lay hands on the sick.
Yes this is blessings at its best.

Beautiful

What you see when you visit an orphanage in the village.
The faces of kids being loved, when there past does not have much love in it.
The excitement of knowing there is going to be a new room added to there school.
Gods kids receiving his love through another awesome IVO GO Team!

Welcome Timothy

Yesterday the three of us went out to go and see a new neighborhood.
We walked around and where scouting to see if it might be a place we would like to live.
It was quite and very good for us to get out as a family.

Sarah started to get tired as well as Jethro.
So I sent them on a Boda (motorcycle taxi), to go take a nap at home.
Later I found out that Jethro was so tired that he fell asleep on the Boda.

After they left I decided to head to Wandegeya where a few street kids hang out.
Before I got there I found a boy laying on the side walk on his side.
I could tell he was a street kid from his old dirty tattered clothes, no shoes, and the fact that he was only 13ish and sleeping on the sidewalk.
I stopped to give him some of my juice I had and to see if I knew him.
As he sat up I could see a road rash looking wound on his face.
He was very disorientated and was not talking at all.
We walked together to go to the clinic to take care of his wound.

By the time we got to the clinic I could tell something was wrong with his head.
Amy the nurse looked at him and we spent some time with him to see what might be wrong.
She started to think that he might have epilepsy. He acted very much like that but no seizures.
None of the boys or uncles knew who this kid was, this is very uncommon.
Just as I  left he ended up having a seizure.

This boy has to be scared lost and needs so much help. We do not know his name, where he is from, or if he had any family. There are so many unknowns. We are calling him Timothy for now.
So pray for this boy today. Keep is name on your mind you can do so much through prayer.

So Timothy you are my very special "Welcome Wednesday"
Welcome to my life Timothy.
